Hey friends! I have an update: WE ARE 66% FUNDED!

How crazy is that?! A couple months ago, if I’m being honest, I was a little worried about my funding. I felt like I had been doing everything for fundraising that I was “supposed” to do, and wasn’t seeing the results I expected. I had been putting in work to reach this expectation I put on myself, but I hadn’t been trusting God’s timing. I needed to take a step back and remember what this trip is all about: fully surrendering to the Lord’s plan. Once I let go of control and stopped striving to be funded in my timeline, I could see how support raising isn’t a burden it’s a privilege. I get to partner with God and ask others to do the same; how did I ever see that as a burden? It is such an honor! This part of the trip is what I came in dreading and it has already taught me so much! I have learned a deeper level of trust, to never underestimate what a person will give, and that we were never promised a perfect or easy life, but we just have to obey and put our part of the work in because God is so faithful to His word. I also learned how important it is to take a sabbath, because our Father wants to give us rest when we’re on the way to burning out. He wants to be that steadfast, never shaken, indescribable peace in every circumstance, and all He asks for in return is for us to trust Him and fully surrender.

To everyone who has donated and been praying THANK YOU!!! It may not feel like you’ve done much, but every gift and every prayer is the biggest blessing! Thank you for listening to the Lord, and for encouraging me to keep going when I was discouraged. I have felt so loved and supported. I know this is only the beginning of a life changing adventure with my Father, and I could not be any more excited, honored, and expectant!

I hope reading this has encouraged you to take time to spend time with Jesus and just rest in His amazing presence. He wants to hold everything that we were never meant to carry.
