MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hi, long time no blog! If I am being fully honest I have been putting off posting; I just had zero idea what to say. So much has happened in these last two months, but I will start by saying . . . I AM FULLY FUNDED ( and more! ). If I haven’t gotten to thank you in person I want to say a huge THANK YOU! Everyone has been so generous, kind, and supportive. A huge shout out to my church family for making me feel so loved and giving me that push to be fully funded. Not only was I fully funded, but almost all of my gear costs were covered!! What a blessing—thank you, and THANK YOU JESUS!

The main reason I had such a hard time coming up with a post was the uncertainty surrounding launch and route. I have learned, even months before this trip actually starts, that God’s plan is where I am supposed to be. That sounds obvious, but when what I thought His will was had question marks next to it, I was confused. But even when we’re completely shaken by life and possible changes, God isn’t. He saw it coming, and He is over all. Once I accepted that fact my mindset changed. The pressure melted away, and I was able to rest because His plan will be accomplished. So much of that uncertainty has gone away, and the only major change has been that my squad will not be going to Lesotho on this trip. We will be spending our 3 months in South Africa and eSwatini serving where we are needed!

Launch is a little under a month away and I am so excited! I had just been telling people the date we launch, and realized  this is real and happening in a number of weeks. I’ve started gathering my gear and preparing (as much as someone can) to basically live outside of my comfort zone for 3 months. I am SO excited because I know when I’m uncomfortable I grow and depend on Jesus more. This discomfort is so welcomed; I know that I’ll grow to love more like Jesus and be His hands and feet!

Please continue to be praying for me and my squad as we prepare for this adventure; Thank you so much again! Have an amazing Christmas!
